"Cute little homestay. The dog sounds like it is the biggest meanest dog ever... he is not. He is small, cute and really wants to be chased around the house. The rooms are perfect, AC, Bathrooms are nice with hot showers and a fridge. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Location is great, the town is super noisy and busy, this place is about 200 meters from the busy busy road. 5 minute walk to the beach. Definitely recommended."

It is a newly refurbished Hotel, and although simple in style, it is a very unique place, located on a wonderful site which overlooks the ocean, and has a spectacular view from the restaurant while dining. "Well we didn't actually get to stay. We booked the hotel in April on Expedia/Hotels.com and when we arrived on December 27 we were shocked to find our booking had been cancelled. According to Sanmark they had cancelled all Expedia bookings (since they said no one who booked on Expedia were showing up) however we were never notified. Apparently Expedia was suppose to notify but they did not. We expected the Sanmark to help us in our situation (which they eventually did) but there initial...

"Where to start, these guys cancelled our entire booking because we were late for check in leaving us stuck in a monsoon with our 3 month old infant. When we finally got into the property the next day, a solid hardwood curtain rod fell on my partners head who was holding our kid. Very luckily only she was hurt. The restaurant was basically not working. The bar was shut. I get that its the off season but say this in your booking profile. When we decided to leave after 1 night to head to Unawatuna...
