"I like this property it's good enough, it's right on the water right on the main drag where you go to eat. However, do not let them put you on the first floor that doesn't have an elevator. The carpet in the entire building really smells disgusting and sometimes the smell comes into your room. The air vent from your bathroom on the first floor rooms, 100-109 faces an alleyway and you can smell cigarette smoke and cat pee waft in. The bed mattress is excellent, super soft. "We absolutely loved our stay. The brothers who run it are so helpful and friendly, the apartments are perfect. Love that guests leave sun cream, hair spray, toiletries, oskars have a box for other guests to help themselves (all hotels should do this). "LV offered us very basic, no-frills accommodation at a decent price. The landscaping and buildings were nice and the pool and bar were clean and well-operated. Our actual “apartment” was not nice. There was a twin bed in the kitchen (no headboard, no linens, no pillow). The bedroom had a full-size bed with linens and two pillows, but no blanket, just sheets. "We had a fantastic stay at Zest at Xi beach. We stayed in a studio which was perfectly adequate in size foralways a couple. The studio was immaculately clean and smelt lovely and fresh. It contains everything required for a self catering holiday, although, we ate out all the time except breakfast. A very nice free breakfast was provided in a lovely setting around the pool. "Clean, safe and nice staff. However, you have to pay extra 20 euros per bed sheet and 10 euro per towel set and 5 euro to use the A, all per stay. Which wasn’t mentioned upon booking. There were no toiletries whatsoever, no dish soap, no toilet paper. Also there was a 100 euro deposit that wasn’t mentioned either. The cleaning costs 40 euro and you can choose to do it yourself but it included chores like wiping windows. The staff was very nice and gave us late check out and was very helpful regarding sharing information about the island. The location was very convenient and walking distance to the main things in Sami."

Katerina luxury and amazing outdoor space

"The size of accommodation is just perfect for families of all ages. Two doubles and three singles fits in 7 easily, we also had a toddler with us in one of the double rooms. We filled this place and still had space, it’s that spacious. Outside the pool is a great size and the lawn area is big enough to play 5 a side football and still have space for a volley ball court, all with a backdrop of cypress trees, hills/mountains and the Sami Bay Area. Photos don’t do it justice. The property is walled and safe for young children (we had a 2 year old grandson with us). It also has an electric gate and keyless door entry system. Rossana was very helpful in getting what we needed in place and also a lovely woman to deal with. I recommmend visiting her restaurant and cocktail bar in Sami too - Afrala. Be aware that the final few hundred yards of road to the property is a stoney track which you get used to. Our two hire cars dealt with the track fine. You need hire cars to visit here unless you’re happy taking taxis or just want to walk to and from Sami. 20-40 mins each way. My double room was upstairs which led onto a balcony, providing greater views of the area and good morning coffee seating. Gardeners keep outdoors looking great and Maria visited daily to clean up, tidy beds and do the bins inc. toilet bins. Maria was a pleasure and became close to the family and we were all sad to say goodbye. I’d definitely return. "

Great apartment in a good location

"My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in September 2024. We loved it. We had a 1 bedroom junior suite with a sea view. The apartment is on the second floor. If you have any mobility problems, please note that there is no lift. The location of the complex is excellent, right on the sea front. The beach, as with many on Kefalonia is stony. This area of the beach has no public facilities so is very quiet. The apartment was large, we had a double balcony. There was air conditioning in both the lounge area and bedroom. It is modern and well furnished. The kitchen area included a large fridge-freezer, hob, toaster kettle and coffee maker. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom,which we were not expecting. The shower had both a waterfall shower head and a second hand-held shower lower down. The hot water came through quickly which isn't always the case. The bed was large, and very comfortable. There was a large built in wardrobe with lots of draw space. Locally, there were two tavernas and a cafe, with a bakery nearby. Sami is a five minute drive away, and in the other direction Agia Elfimia is 10 minutes away. Both have a number of taverans and shops. Karavomylos was a good location for seeing the island. Argostelli was about 30 minutes away, Fiscardo 45 minutes, Assos and Myrtos beach 30 minutes drive. It was a really good apartment in a location that we thought was ideal. "

"The villa is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice, which is why I rated the accuracy of online listing as 3. The view is stunning and the villa is fully equipped with everything you need. The pool is brilliant as it isn't very deep so great for younger children. Spiros is a great host and exceptionally welcoming - thank you :). We had such a great time that we are going back next year."

"It is a beautiful villa with fantastic views of the coastlines of Kefalonia and Ithaca. The rooms are clean and well kept and the pool and outdoor area is excellent, even compared to the photos. Clio who showed us around the villa and kept in touch with us throughout our stay was super-helpful which was much appreciated. Only minor suggestion would be to leave the upstairs main bedroom wardrobe clear for guests clothes! This was locked while we were there. Many thanks!"

Fantastic.

"We loved our stay at Penelope Villas, the villa was very well kept, spacious, modern, well equipped and in a great location. With just 4 villas it was quiet, but literally a 5 minute drive from Sami main promenade with a great selection of restaurants and shops. The only issue was the air con wasn’t working properly but the owners were very quick to get it fixed. The grounds were well kept and spacious, the pool was perfect for cooling down and there were staff regularly cleaning the pool, maintaining the grounds and giving the option of housekeeping. We’d definitely return."
