"This was a "blow the budget" trip for me and I was not disappointed. The hotel is built into caves and has fantastic views of the city and over the ford (you can walk over). "We found this hotel to be excellent in every way. Modern, clean, very nice staff, excellent service. They provided a complementary bottle of prosecco, which was a nice touch. Our room and bed were very comfortable and clean. The hotel lobby looks very sleek and classy. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic, the server was very professional. We also appreciated the secure parking for our car. "

"The property was a beautiful. Cypress tree driveway, excellent pool, very nicely finished clean rooms & bathroom. The chef was on the whole very good. Located within 10km of Matera but in a quiet rural setting. The staff. Anna who served breakfast & checkout was excellent. The rest of the staff are either poorly managed and demoralised or should not be in a hospitality role. Checkin person was rude and didn’t make you feel welcome. Couldn’t really be bothered. "The property was amazing and great value for money. It is on the edge of the Sassi and you only have to go a few metres to see the most spectacular views. The facilities were modern and clean and the staff/owner were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. There is also a bus stop very close in proximity which makes it easy to reach the main coach stops in the main town if you don’t fancy the scenic walk Would definitely recommend "
