"We loved our time staying at Midsummer Barn. The pictures online do not do it justice. It has character and charm. "From the moment we arrived we settled in immediately. Everything we needed was there.Quiet ,spacious and comfortable rooms for 4 adults and two children. Outdoor space was lovely to sit out when the weather was good, great views too.and private parking for cars. "We stayed for a weekend during a very hot spell. The cottage and gardens were delightful (great for playing hide and seek with the grandkids!) and the hosts welcoming. Be aware that it is on the flightpath for landing/take-off from Manchester airport so can be noisy - but on the upside, the kids enjoyed watching the planes! "This house was easy access to Wrightington Hospital and a base whilst my husband was in hospital. It is old fashioned decor but spotlessly clean and had all facilities needed. The enclosed back garden was an asset for my dog and during the really hot spell a lovely place to sit. No complaints"
