"It was like adream come true. Even though we did not have a car to get around , the owners gave us a contact so we were picked up when we needed it. Otherwise we walked around the most beautiful cottage area, it was peaceful, relaxing and the owners were very enjoyable. The breakfast every morning was very good. "

"The cottage and the entire property are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The cottage is fully stocked with everything a guest may require. The fridge was stocked with milk, a pack of bacon, a pack of cheese and wine. Fruits and homemade marmalade were also left for us. All very thoughtful and welcoming. Wroxton Abbey William Pope built first part of a Jacobean mansion here on site of an Augustinian priory, known as Wroxton Abbey, in about 1618. The leasehold passed through marriage to the North family who lived here until 1932. Lord North (1732-1792), best known as the Prime Minister who lost Britain's American colonies, was born here. Today is owned by the Fairleigh Dickinson University from New Jersey in the USA (interesting touch of irony given previous owners!) and now known as Wroxton College and is featured in their "Study Abroad" programme.
