"I visited this hotel on business recently and I was surprised how nice it was. They had made a huge effort with the decor going up the stairs and also so really noticed all the Christmas decorations which made it feel extremely festive and seasonal. The staff were very friendly and chatty and were also extremely attentive and professional. Prices of food were on the expensive side however it was of very very good quality. "Last minute change of plans meant i needed something simple for one night and this place did more than that. Very accomodating, well priced, recently refurbished by looks of it. Very warm, good facilitates and exactly what was needed. Plenty more that i didnt take advantage of such as the bar and restaurant but maybe another time."

"The staff at Portreath Arms were welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. My only complaint is that the bacon was overcooked, but otherwise the breakfast was lovely."
