"It is a beautiful hotel with a great history. All the staff were great. Lovely breakfasts. We were there 4 nights and had one dinner there which was great. We wanted to explore Cheltenham the other nights. Only hiccup was on our third day as elderly we decided to make use of the hotel first class facilities (out door heated swimming pool etc) and the most beautiful and comfy lounge. And although our room was empty at 10am , housekeeping did not service it until 3pm in spite of requests. "

"This property is outstanding in its location, in its cleanliness and comfortable room. Run by Joan, who is extremely helpful with any queries you might have, going out of her way to assist, she is a real professional, and likewise the waitress we had was exceptional. The accommodation was possibly the best we've ever had for peace and quiet, and again the breakfast was superb, one of our best ever we've had. We are looking forward to returning whenever we get the chance as it's so good. "

"Loved our stay at the Howard Arms! Surprised on the upside by the welcoming and friendly staff, the coziness of the bar and restaurant which was clearly a magnet for the local community, felt authentic and welcoming! Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the evening, and an incredibly generous breakfast which we did not manage to finish due to the sumptuous dinner the night before! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the surrounding Cotswold villages if you want something cosy and authentic! "

"Lovely house, room was a good size, comfortable bed, decent linen. Good onsuite shower. Breakfast preordered and delivered to room as still have Covid restriction in place. Parking available but a bit tight getting in and out if other cars there. Hosts friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Definitely better than Doubletree Hotel down the road and half the price. "
