Some of the room facilities do need updating though, basic things like the wardrobes have so many layers of paint on them that they do not close, one window wouldn’t open, the controls for the shower have been installed incorrectly (the hot/cold knob was actually the on/off switch and vice versa) and there...

"The is a lovely little in, ideal for a short stop-over. The staff in the pub were extremely welcoming, it has a great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The only down side is, the room I stayed in is next to a commercial site which has bright spotlights, this means that even with the curtains closed the room wasn't overly dark. Also the bed wasn't that comfortable, so I didn't sleep very well. Overall a pleasant stay, and possibly somewhere I would consider for a future stay."

"This B & B was very nice. We only needed to stay for 1 night. The host was very welcoming, friendly & helpful. The cat (Finnegan) was very affectionate, too, bless him! We had our own bathroom, as advertised, & this is on the landing, not in the room itself. Just for info, really. Bed comfy. Nice sized wardrobe, a safe, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hair dryer etc. The shower was lovely. Personally, I would prefer a bigger towel to dry my hair, rather than a guest towel & a larger bath one....
