"The Harborside is a fine spot. It's a bit tired, but it's good value for the money. The AC works very well, so important in this part of the world. The pool is weak, but the place is really best as a one night crash pad. They will try to upsell you on check in, so be ready for that. The front desk staff has an odd air of superiority and importance for the most part. The Duty Manager, I forget his name, was particularly self important. Funny really, I think he instills that in others, because...

"Had the best time stay at Palm Royal, my family and I loved how friendly the staff were, our room was cleaned everyday. Beds were so comfortable and bathroom was spacious. Our best family spot was the pools, we were in there 3-4x a day. Thank you so much, highly recommend and will definitely be back 😊"

"The room was very clean and in excellent condition. Staff are very helpful and always courteous. Although there are no breakfast or dinning facilities there is a well stocked communal lounge area that has free coffee and water and is always well stocked and due to its location there are many eating options very close. Definitely will stay here again next time in Cairns"

"The hotel room was very nice. Check-in was quick and easy. The only reason I gave this hotel 4* is because of the breakfast. The food was very good but the pricing could be better. Two of us staying at the hotel, hotel charged 30$ each for a buffet breakfast. I believe guests should be charged half that price."
