"We were given a room looking out to the sea; great view. Once the vacant lot between the hotel and the sea is constructed, the view of the sea will be blocked. Bed is comfortable. Service is good. What pulled down the score is the hotel conditions. There are stains along the edging of the shower screens and walls. The bathroom grout is clean. There are moldy spots in the tiles of the swimming pool grout at the water level."

"Huge room with great views of the airport and the sea. The pool is great however does lack a bit of seating/pool loungers (there is a 4 or 5 seats max). But its greay seeing the planes land from the edge of the pool. Staff really friendly - they do charge you a refunable deposit when you check in - just something to he aware of."

Only drawback is lack of switches for lighting which was replaced with digital push screen which doesn't seem to work resulting in a poorly lit room and caused inconveniences due to that. "Property was new, nice, and big (it was basically a full fledged one room apartment we had). Two TVs, kitchenette and washing machine. Location was well placed within 10min walk to gaya street. Only drawback was that Citadines co-shares the plot and common facilities w an apartment building called Northshore (different wing) which brings along w that, tons of short-stay crowd (amongst them children) and noise in the common areas, esp the pool. "

"The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel."

There’s free breakfast too. Near shopping complex just this one focused more on electronic products. Not something tourists will want to buy. Haha. Overall, I will stay in this hotel again. ❤️"
