"A wonderful stay at the holiday inn on nye. We was attending the nye party at the hotel so gave us everything we need. The only disappointment we had was we didnt know in advance that the pool would shut early and open late the next day so we wouldnt get to use it very much. But this all worked as the lovely girls on the desk booked me late check out so we were able to make the most of it after we had a complimentary breakfast that was added on to. "Beautiful classy hotel in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff, you even get a free ride around the City in a vintage Bentley. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint was the pillows, but this criticism can be levelled at most hotels, I guess they can’t use feather pillows for allergy reasons. Note to self, Will bring my own next time! "

"Our stay did not get off to the best of starts. The receptionist was not happy that we had booked via Expedia and demanded guest information in a very angry manner. This did not make us feel welcome! We had a one-bedroom chalet which was very warm and cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was lovely. "Unfortunately the hotel had no record of our booking via hotel.com so they were only able to book us for two nights in a room without a sea view. Should have been cheaper i am still not sure if i overpaid. So both myself and the hotel had to contact hotel.com, eventually we managed to speak to someone i have a refund and a credit for my Tesco club card points that i have to use reluctantly with hotel.com. It has a nice bar and does good food in the restaurant and the general areas were well kept. "Perfect hotel and location for visiting the city. Riverside, bars, restaurants, shops, castle and cathedral all within walking distance. It was my husband's birthday and a card was left for him in our room which was thoughtful. A great selection at breakfast. Lots of cosy seating areas around the hotel to sit and recharge. Thanks 😊"

Away for work

"Staying away for work for 1-night. Room comfortable, ensuite was small. Went to use the pool but it was very small and very busy, so didn't bother. I was in room 311, which was at the start of the corridor, so later in evening there was an amount of noise outside room with others returning to their rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Got parked in car park close to main entrance. Walked to a nearby pub for dinner. All in all a pleasant stay"
