"We had an extremely short stay since our ferry from the South Island to the North Island was delayed by almost 7 hours. So we didn't check in until 5am the next day. The staff was accommodating and adjusted the check-in very quickly. The beds and room were comfortable. However the shower was a bust. It's a fishbowl type of shower with two doors. "Really enjoyed my stay here. Was surprised how nice the room and hotel was for the price, a great deal. Great art-deco vibes, comfortable and clean room, updated fixtures in the bathroom. Staff were helpful, included breakfast and coffee was delicious. Location is very much downtown, which includes the usual tradeoffs: some unhoused folks and party people, but easy access to transit, activities, museums, and great restaurants. The Dragons Restaurant right next door was fantastic!"
