"Hanoi Royal Palace Hotel 2 is a small older hotel. It rained the entire week we stayed there and our room felt damp. There was always condensation on the windows as well as the walls and floor in the bathroom. There was no fan in the bathroom which added to the problem. Rooms are not soundproof and the noise from the busy Hanoi traffic was constant. On the positive side, the staff were all excellent. The place was clean and well cared for. The breakfast was good and the service was great....

"The staff was so kind and welcoming. They even set up a sweet presentation upon arrival for our honeymoon— at 1AM! Breakfast was delicious and I’m convinced this is the best location to stay if you like the Old Quarter. Close to Hoan Kiem but not in the thick of it. Definitely go down the street to visit Kim at local craft beer.."

"The service was superb, from the receptionist to the servers at the buffet. The buffet was ok, not a lot of varieties like other hotel I stayed. The bathroom was clean however the room was running down, the towels were roughly due to old towel. Since I have VIP, we didn’t get offered to upgrade. Also our room was next to the elevator, second floor, and you can hear the noice and talking when someone took the elevator. "
