"I’d booked two rooms for two couples - which were very different. I appreciate the property is historic, but one room was very small and cramped with a lowered ceiling. The breakfast was good overall with a lot of choice but just one hot drinks machine for the whole hotel often made for queuing. The restaurant had a good range of dishes which were all delicious and well-made - it was lovely not to have to go out in the evening to find food! The staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms...

"Underground parking,(approx £15/day on the RingGo app) big apartment room with comfortable bed, warm shower. Made our own breakfast. Room had view of canal . It was about a 10min walk to the Town centre and tourist areas. A great stay"

"Great location with easy 5 minute walk into centre of York. Parking at the hotel is a plus too. Room a little on the small side but fine for a 2 night stay. Had breakfast one morning in the hotel and was very nice. Overall a good choice based on location."
