"Stayed one night for an early morning run in Bedgebury which was really convenient. Staff were superb, room was large and clean, parking was easy. They even let us use the facilities to shower after the run despite having checked out already. Will definitely be using this hotel again for future running events and staying in this area"

The staff provided a floor fan on our second night and moved us to an upper floor day 3 and 4. I would stay again but request a higher floor. "

"An elderly property essentially on the esplanade. Of course that means no lift making it inaccessible for some. On the other hand the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was good and the price was incredibly low. This might have been because I visited "off season" but it was certainly about half the cost of any other lodging I used during a two-week trip across the south coast. I'd definitely go back again."

"Stayed for a friends wedding celebration. Breakfasts were really good, quiet at night and slept really well with very comfortable mattress. Didn't mind the wonky floor.. goes with territory of an old building.. only criticism of the room would be the noisy toilet pump! Staff were very helpful and felt sorry for the poor chef who had to work alone for a while due to staff sickness. Kept his cool and very professional! Thanks to the staff and to the manager who saw us right for the long...

"Great pub with unique rooms. Very welcoming staff and included breakfast was excellent with cooked options. We also ate in the restaurant and again the food was great. Lovely walk down to Bewl water from pub as well. Really enjoyed our stay."

"Staff were friendly and the property itself exudes vintage elegance. Unfortunately our room (Room 5 on ground floor) smelt extremely strongly of damp, so we didn't unpack any belongings. Despite opening windows and airing the room, there remained a very strong smell. There is obviously a long-term damp problem with this room which the owners should really get fixed."
