"This place was something out of a storybook. A hidden treasure trove of history, ornate decorations and coziness, we had a truly magical stay here over the weekend. Our host Richard was a delight; very helpful, courteous and produced the most wonderful breakfasts. Quiet and contemplative atmosphere, with beautiful, clean rooms with great decorations. "This was an amazing place to relax. It was so peaceful and the surroundings are stunning. The property is also beautiful, very tasteful and clean. Gordon was a perfect host and we were very lucky that we were the only guests there. Beware that there are quite a lot of stairs to get to the 2 suites downstairs (I'm guessing around 15-20) plus stairs to get to the house from where you leave the car. "Pros- Beautiful area and property, close to the ski hill and the grocery store. I loved that you can use the hot tub all year long. They have all the dishes and posts needed to cook a meal. The views were stunning. Cons- The hot tub water is not very hot. I wish the shed had some walls to block out the wind. There was no daily housekeeping or access to a telephone as advertised.
