"This place was something out of a storybook. A hidden treasure trove of history, ornate decorations and coziness, we had a truly magical stay here over the weekend. Our host Richard was a delight; very helpful, courteous and produced the most wonderful breakfasts. Quiet and contemplative atmosphere, with beautiful, clean rooms with great decorations. A great place to sit in front of a fire after a long day of skiing or sightseeing. Lovely view of the mountain as well and I look forward to...

Bel endroit en famille

"La chambre est globalement bien. Les lits et oreillers sont confortables. Le bain-douche est pratique avec les enfants. Il y a un micro-onde. Le point négatif de la chambre est le fait que les rideaux ne coupaient pas bien la lumière extérieure de l’hôtel ce qui fait en sorte qu’il faisait clair tôt le matin. La piscine, la glissade et le bain à remous ont été très apprécié par les enfants. Les jeux d’eau ne fonctionnaient pas. Le petit déjeuner consistaient en des œufs à la coque, du pain/bagels, de la salade de fruits, des céréales, muffins et yogourt. C’était simple, mais satisfaisant. Globalement nous avons bien aimé notre séjour et nous y retournerions pour un autre séjour en famille."

Nice little private place!

"Nice little spot with a lovely view right next to the river, very private, big parking. The room is a bit tight. The Bed was very comfy, good quality linens. Fully functional kitchen equipped with all you need for preparing meals. Overall the place needs some love but it’s functional and the river is definitely the highlight yet if in flood season can also be an inconvenience… I enjoyed my stay! "

"My 9 day stay was very relaxing, the lake was beautiful and the house had everything I could possibly have needed. Colin answered all my questions and even checked in a couple of times to make sure all was going well. I was touched to find he had left me two complimentary bottles of wine. He also left brochures with information about what to see in Val David. Thank you very much for the wonderful vacation, it was well worth it."
