Though there was an initial mix up on arrival where our room had been given to someone else, they were quick to offer an even better alternative. "The star of the show at the resort is the views over bay and the private pool. We stayed in a villa and had loads of space. The downside was to get to any other part of the resort we had to walk up a very steep hill - which gets tiring after a while. Foodwise, for an all inclusive the buffet offerings were good enough but not amazing. The place was very clean and overall staff were great but some facilities upgrades need to be made including replacing the poor lifts and the patio/balcony...

"We stayed at Candia Park for the last 3 nights of a delightful vacation in Crete where we sampled 4 different hotels. We had great expectations for Candia based on its appointment as a 4-star resort (and high cost) and the photos on Expedia. We were very disappointed and felt totally overcharged spending so much on a basic room with no amenities. The location is lovely and the grounds are nicely laid but the studio itself was outdated, extremely bare bones, and dark and musty with a patio...

"Property seems very kid friendly, which is nice, but as we did not bring our children this trip, it was loud and overwhelming with kids running all over. Often difficult to get spots at the pool as well. We almost decided to go next door to the Nana Princess instead. Food was pretty good. "The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty.
