"The room was well appointed with small kitchenette and separate bedroom. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Full size tub/shower. We reserved a parking spot in advance so everything was very easy. One block from a grocery store and several blocks to shopping and restaurants. Only thing that would have helped was instructions on stove and dishwasher. "

"Very friendly and helpful host who walked me to my room. Spacious and beautifully presented accomodation with nice touches like big fluffy robes and very nice linen & towels. Parking was a bit tricky but one can get use to it pretty quickly. Easy walk to beautiful Dunedin Botanical Gardens, New World Supermarket and the fantastic Beam me up Bagels who make the best bagels in New Zealand & make best coffee. Also great SPCA Op Shop and other second hand shops in the area. "

"Friendly but professional reception staff. Very helpful. Good variety of food at the restaurant. Went the extra mile to alter a dish due to an allergy without being asked to. Also when they realised it was my birthday they came out and sang me Happy Birthday and popped a candle in my cheese platter. Really thoughtful and unexpected. Bedroom was lovely and very clean. Very quiet. Good shower and toiletries. Easy parking. Definitely would recommend. "

"Nice looking unit and comfy bed with nice lounge area. Had expected aircon in room from advertising so disappointed it didn’t have as hot to sleep. Also water pressure wasn’t great in shower. Nice owner. "

"We stayed for two nights. Motel had a lovely feeling, easy parking, access to dining options was within walking distance. Bed and pillows comfortable, had cooking facilities. Reception went out of their way so we could stay in our room after I booked another night here. Will be back."

"These apartments are of very high quality. It had all that was needed as travellers for a comfortable stay (and was the favourite of 13 different stays on the south island). The quality of sleep here was great and the furnishings were of high quality throughout. Bonus points for the heated floors in the bathroom."

"Hunters Moon is a total delight. Owner/host John Nelson is a gem--so welcoming and flexible. Our room was lovely and comfortable, feeding sheep and alpacas was much fun. John insisted we eat our brought in meals in his bnb dining room and use his dishes, etc. Hunters Moon is a wonderful retreat outside of Dunedin."
