"Just got back from a lovely few days. The outside of the property is run down but the areas that matter are lovely. The breakfast was really nice and the pool was an added bonus. Room was lovely and clean. Like the addition of a fridge in the room. Will definitely return when visiting Chester again. Thank you "

"From the outside this is a beautiful historic Manor House but in the room we had it didn’t feel any different to anywhere else. The grounds are lovely. The bed was uncomfortable and made for a poor 1st nights sleep. The staff are good and they did look to see if they could make our stay more comfortable. For breakfast we both had Eggs Royale which was really nice but not worth the £15pp price tag. Going back to the room what it really needed was black out curtains as the light really shone...

"decent hotel , good spa ( no hot tub or jacuzzi but lots of hot rooms ) good service , food good quality. breakfast taste ok but extra (£5) if you want anything but the basic breakfast . £4 extra for a latte or different coffee or tea no mushrooms second morning , no offer of replacement or extra options "

"Fabulous stay here. Stunning location full of history and the grounds are beautiful. The staff were lovely, helpful, professional and the food at breakfast and the evening meals were delicious. Didn’t get chance to sample the spa this time but will be returning to do so. Many thanks for such a wonderful time."
