The staff are very polite and the service was good. The room and amenities were good. The gym & spa are exceptional, with very helpful and attentive staff. "Our visit to Mellington Hall Country House Hotel was fantastic. The property is amazing, the staff were really attentive and amazing also. The food was superb and the service throughout was exceptional. After the meal we sat in the lovely building which has quiet rooms or an open fire. We went just before Christmas and so the property was probably quieter than during the summer months, but we definitely would return to enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside. "Room was gorgeous, in a lovely cottage next door to the pub. Breakfast was lovely. Slept well and the bathroom was nice. Tea tray was fab. Only issue we had was the room was freezing, in December. We had to go over to he pub to ask them to turn the heating on as there was no thermostat in the room. When we went out for dinner and drinks and got back, the room was freezing again. So again back to the pub to ask for heat, we were told there was a thermostat on the landing of the cottage this time...

"Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time "
