"Best hotel to start the year 2024! The service was great. The staff were super polite and friendly. The room was vast and I added with a rollaway bed without any issues - still very spacious. There’s free breakfast too. Near shopping complex just this one focused more on electronic products. Not something tourists will want to buy. Haha. Overall, I will stay in this hotel again. ❤️"

You have to ask the guy on the gate which way to go, then he has you do a semi check in there, which holds everyone else up trying to enter the property. After checking the room we decided not to stay, this hotel is definitely not a 4 star as advertised, more like a 2 star. Rooms are very run down. "The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel."
