"Great very old building. The check in was done via a kiosk and I had to call for instructions but someone was there when checking out in the morning. Restaurant was closed for dinner but open for breakfast. Beautiful inside. "

"Very nice property and staff at reception and housekeeping is very friendly. Staff provided a wheelchair (post surgery) and the property was easy enough to navigate. The only downside, I am sorry to say, is the breakfast. On a Saturday morning it was chaotic with everything from bread to cold cuts and plain cheeses being gone. You had to ask for coffee mugs. "We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"
