Clean and tidy hotel, lots of stairs to get to rooms, takes a day or two to get your head round the route to the room. Overall a great stay, wouldn’t hesitate to use the Alverton again, great location five minute walk to centre of the city."

"Staff were great, professional but really friendly. We had a sea view room which was worth the extra. It was very comfortable, a good size , very well equipped but no balcony. Openable windows though. The hotel is located on a cliff above the beach with a short but steep walk down. The beach is sandy but is a surfing beach so can get quite rough and does have dangerous currents. The hotel is directly on the South West Coastal Path so good access for walkers.
