"The Hotel is lovely when you drive in although it is easy to miss the entrance. Our room was in the Coach House and was clean but a little dated. The Spa is lovely and clean but lacks beds for the amount of people that visit it, and the changing rooms lack personal changing lockers. The Sauna and the steam room are not very hot but again they were nice and clean and you can hire a robe, towel and slippers for £10 per person for the duration of your stay. Although we did not get a treatment...

"Great public areas, pool is a great addition and towels provided too. Room was a little tired and could’ve done with a extra clean. The USB sockets didn’t work which was annoying but not the end of the world. Fridge was a nice addition too. Overall, fair stay but at £125 for the night, a little steep for things not to be cleaned or working. Great location though. "

"Overall a great stay at York Roomzzz. The location is great, only a short walk into town. The room was clean and comfortable, the only issue was the noise from the apartment above, which kept me awake but thankfully not the kids. Great that the staff will pick up your luggage from the station on arrival and it was in our room when we arrived. Afternoon tea was wonderful and we loved the pantry and record player in our room. "Just had a 3 night stay at The Old Lodge with my 7 year old son. Everything was as good as it could be, amazing room overlooking the grounds, really comfy beds, nice bathroom, everything nice and clean, staff were brilliant really friendly and professional.. we didn't eat in the evening here we ate out every night but the breakfast was lovely plenty of choice for my son... Couldn't ask for more really and Malton is a lovely little place lots of shops and pubs ... Overall I'd give The Old Lodge...
