"Lovely clean room, comfy bed. Ate in the bar & enjoyed a nice meal, friendly staff in bar area. It was not warm enough to sit in the garden but in warmer weather there were plenty of tables outside in a nice spacious garden. Hotel is situated away from the centre of whitby but is very handy for the park & ride bus service which works out much cheaper than using the town car parks. "

"Loved the property. It was beautifully decorated, and had everything you could possibly need. We have stayed with five star stays before, so this wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last. However the first staff member I spoke to on arrival at the Plough to collect the keys was nothing other than miserable!! Granted we did arrive 30 minutes early, but he was so dismissive of us.
