"The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were amazing and very good with the children - the meals were worth the money! Our room was immaculate! The facilities were fab. Only niggle was the phone didn't work in our room and so I had to go to reception to order room service... They still charged me the £5 tray fee, which I thought they could have waivered due to the phone not working. But, they were very helpful and friendly "

"Decided to upgrade to a cathedral view. For the small amount extra to pay this is an absolute must. The view is amazing. Staff were all really friendly, Good choice for breakfast including items cooked to order, best Eggs benedict I have ever had. The room was refurbished and really welcoming, wonderful shower. the only down side is the lift, straight out of the 50's clunked and banged and occasionally we had to press the "Open Door" button. The hotel is absolutely ideally placed for visiting...

Great location on the Marina with easy walking access to the city centre or old town. Had a really relaxing stay and the place is also pet friendly which is ideal and also well managed. "Just booked a 'Twixtmas' break for my wife and I at the IBIS to recover from the 'demands' of Christmas. Three nights in the IBIS was very good with everything you could want from a budget hotel. Bed was comfy, no noise, good room service convenient for shops and pubs. After various cash back deals the 3 nights cost about £100 which was excellent value. Will be returning in the future."

They really need to remove the carpets in the rooms, they're awful and obviously not hygienic, laminate flooring would be a much more sensible and cleaner option! Otherwise everything else is reasonable, well maintained, clean and offers all of the basics you would expect."

"Comfortable, fairly spacious and warm. Plenty of tea and coffee. Asked for a quiet room and got one in an annexe. Room thermostat and windows. Didn't have any food so can't comment, but the menu looked good for both breakfast and evening meal and not expensive. Lots of parking. Wasnt difficult to find, but you really need a vehicle to get to it. Overall excellent value and a good sleep."
