Pool area was not very tidy, towels left everywhere as not clear message where to leave them. No conditioner available in gym/pool area, own goal. Room was clean just a bit tied around the edges, small older tv. "

"Love this hotel with Shakespeare's theme. The dinning area and the corridors are filled with interesting paintings and posters with the writer. The dinning room was excellent. Breakfast is excellent and wonderful service. Should have tried the dinner. Very stylist and beautiful building at the heart of the center."

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Only one person on the reception desk who was on the phone so had to wait a while to check in. Was told it was room only despite my insistence that breakfast was included. Eventually she found the booking and agreed that breakfast was included By this time, there were several couples waiting to check in. Our room was in a separate annexe which was lovely but unfortunately the walls between the rooms were very thin. We had several people trying our door....

"Good value for money. Room was modern, comfortable and well equipped as well as being quiet. Huge bed! Highly recommend the spa - one of the best I have been to in the area. Quality of the food at breakfast was good."

"Comfortable weekend stay. Good sleep had on both nights despite a very firm mattress. Shower over the bath wasn’t very powerful and the bath plug was difficult to open and close. Good variety of breakfast items which we enjoyed. Evening meal was very good if a bit pricey. Good, attentive service from Lindzy in the restaurant. All staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking (£8.50 per day) and an easy, flat walk to all that Stratford has to offer. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Lansdowne. Corrinne made my 30th birthday very special, and gave us the room I requested -- the Naunton. The bed and pillows were super comfy, the bath was lovely, and the breakfast sausage in the morning was divine. We stayed for 2 nights and walked around Bourton for one, then explored Stow-on-the-Wold and walked the Slaughters day 2. "
