"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "The hotel was very comfortable and warm. The bathroom was modern and well furnished with a super shower. The food was excellent with imaginitive dishes and a menu which changed every day. Service was excellent from friendly, polite staff."

"Lovely stay at Meadhon House as part of a Borders exploration trip. Easy walking distance to Jedburgh Abbey and town centre. The room was beautifully furnished and very well appointed. "Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "
