We got stuck in Arona due to a train strike and managed to get a room at Hotel Bristol and the staff helped us arrange transportation to Milan the next day so we can continue on with our journey. "First I’ll point out what I’d say are obvious to most stays in Italy, just because I think it’s good information for Americans like us. A lot of people on these apps leave negative feedback for these reasons, but just know that we’re in Italy and these factors are just about everywhere here. 1) there are steps to get to your room, sometimes a lot of them. 2) a lot of places don’t have elevators (this one DOES) 3) the showers are small! I’m 6’4” and 240lbs… I fit, but it’s not like home, lol....

"The hotel overall is an amazing property with outstanding views. A very nice front desk guy Cande "Papi" helped me a lot and was very diligent to try to give an excellent service. I had an upgrade do that the AC wasn't working in the room I was assigned to. Breakfast was very good and the Capuchinos were amazing. Bathroom ok, but dirty dirty shower. "

"Nice old style hotel with proper lobby, right across from lakefront promenade. Best value found! Very friendly staff, free gated parking! Just our front is quiet lawn area with bars and restaurants putting their chairs out at night. Loved it."

"Situated very close to the ferrys at Baveno. Our room had a partial lake view and a nice balcony. Housekeeping was excellent. We didn't eat at the restaurant, so cannot comment on that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "
