What you can't see is that the elevators at the train station don't work, so you have to lug your luggage up and down stairs and past a partially demolished old hotel/apartment building. "This was a nice hotel with lovely staff. We chose it as our bus tour was leaving from there. However it is not in the heart of the city but rather in a business area. We had to use the underground train to get into the city itself, a train system that worked very well I must say. I was a little uncomfortable walking in the area near the hotel but overall it seemed safe enough. "

"This hotel is a short drive from Milan Linate airport. Shuttle service from the hotel is available with a quick phone call for pick up. There is a metro station at the airport and the shuttle will drop you there and pick you up. So a train into Milan Centro is easy for an afternoon excursion.
