"The service was superb with polite and friendly staff, the room wss a disappointment, dull and with little comforts, no mirror for make up little things thst spoilt the experience the toilet seat didnt fit the toilet too small crazy!but there it is , the shower head wont stay up the extractor fan didnt work and the bath didnt drain so a shower became a paddle. The breakfast was brilliant but £30 per night for car parking a little steep."

"I’ve stayed in their sister hotel No42 in Margate a couple of times and it’s excellent. Well No1 York did not disappoint it was beautiful friendly and luxurious! I love this little group of hotels and can’t recommend highly enough! One rue of thumb for me with hotels is how much the staff are invested and seem proud to work there and they do in spades here. Just fabulous, I’ll be back."
