"An enormous hotel complex within a golf course, comfortable and clean, but a bit impersonal when empty on a cold February weekend. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had the shower in the bath. The spa was good at £20 for two hours especially as I had it to myself. We ate in the bar on Saturday night, which had several menu options, rather than the vast empty dining room. Nice views over the lakes and golf course but not somewhere to go walking. Not cosy but good value. "

"Rooms feel dated and no separate shower cubicle in bathrooms. The lights next to the bed don’t turn off the main lights. The restaurant serves overpriced food which has yet to be cooked correctly. Breakfast is ok but missing a good granola/yoghurt/compote most days "

"Stayed there mid week to go to the theatre. Great place to stop overnight, convenient to the theatre and town. We ate at the Riverside restaurant on Campus and the food was good and the staff friendly. "

"This is a beautifully adapted Tudor Manor House into a first-rate hotel. The hotel itself and the grounds are beautiful to view and the private chapel is an added delight to visit. Staff were helpful and the food was very good both for breakfast and dinner. I was disappointed that I could not get wifi in my bedroom which was a problem as I had work to complete in the evening. I managed well once downstairs in the Tudor Hall. I knew there was no lift but the second floor required four flights...

"Food was exceptional for both evening meal and breakfast and staff was on hand and very helpful and friendly to deal with during my stay. Rooms were of a very good and clean but of an average standard but would stay again just for the food."
