"The hotel overall was good. However, the restaurant at lunch time service range from terrible to nonexistent. For instance, the first day (Friday), the waitress took our order and disappeared for about 20 minutes, we had to flag another waiter to find out why our drinks had not arrived. He apologized and said the waitress was new, but he took our order and brought the wrong food... On the second day, the restaurant manager escorted us to a table and again we waited to be served and no one...

"Have stayed here many times under different ownerships. Despite always liking the hotel, I think it would be best to have a car. Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful plus a fantastic spread. Dinner though while pleasant a little limited in choice of food and wine. Doesn’t take American Express."

"Beautiful hotel. Clean and staff were largely very friendly, but hotel was not meant for family. We brought our two boys - well behaved - and I was with them the whole time, but we felt really unwelcome in the fitness and pool areas as it seemed to tailor to older customers. Would love to go here again, but not with kids. "
