There’s also a much larger town not too far from the Quinta, called Penafiel. The villa where we stayed had a breathtaking view of both the vineyard and river. "This is a beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed the huge rooms, gorgeous dining room, and decent gym. The spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room (which we could not open, and there was no one working there to open it). But it was very difficult to find, as the Expedia address took us to a house 15 minutes away. We had to put the name of the hotel into Google to find it, but there was no sign at the front of the property, which just looks like a house from the road, so it was all very...

"I want to point out that the only thing positive in our stay was the sympathy of the staff, all the other areas didn't go well. First of all, they gave us an accessible room that was not shown in the photos, whenever I went to the bathroom it looked like I was in a hospital. The floor had stains all over the carpet and the AC didn't work. Don't recommend it. "
