"Stayed at the Rydges Formosa for 2 nights in the 2 bedroom villa which is actually just 2 interconnecting rooms so no actual separate lounge room. The accommodation itself is a bit tired and the rest of the offering isn’t particularly centred around resort guests, eg., I had to call reception 4 times before I got a hold of someone to come and unlock the door between our rooms to make it into the ‘2 bedroom villa’. This tree that was on the rocks at Snapper Rock at the end of Pohutakawa Road in Beachlands (about a 45 min drive from central AUCKLAND) had come down the cliff in a landslide. It’s landed upright and the tide has washed away the soil around the roots. This pic is a long exposure and was taken under a full moon. The location is tidal and only accessible 2 hours either side of low tide. #bvsblue #auckland #longexposure #moonlit
