"Our hotel room was very clean and the property was nice. We had a small view of the river from our room. The mattress in our room was uncomfortable - the springs felt as if they were protruding through and our pillows were extremely flat. We didn’t sleep well, but everything else was lovely and the staff were accommodating and friendly."

"Our stay was lovely we did have a fantastic time the hotel was beautiful and the pool was so lovely to relax in with a hot tub, steam room and sauna. We visited in December and the temperature of the pool was a little chilly but it was absolutely fine. We also only had one dinner which was in the restaurant, at the time of visiting there were renovations happening so it was the only restaurant available. I have a few allergies so the options were very limited but I managed to get something and...

"Edmund the Valet at the Abbey saved us by fixing our rental car when it had problems. He was so polite and helpful like all of the staff there. The room was magnificent. The breakfast was good too! "

"Downton Abbey Experience. The host (owner) emphasized it is an "ancestral home." They treated us like the Downton Abbey television show that portrays the 1920's -- without the dressed up staff. Beautiful relaxing stay!
