Check in fab, hotels.com gave us a b upgrade to a sea view which was amazing because it was my husbands 50th then the hotel gave us a drink at the bar on them for is birthday, the breakfast outstanding! Show cooking omelettes fresh salmon smoothies etc amazing, staff lovely place so clean and decor beautiful we loved every minute it just went too fast everyone described it as a smaller version of the ritz "

"Being an older couple just off a long flight from Australia it would have helped us to be offered help with our bags. Bed was just heavenly 👏👏👏 The lighting - only enough good lighting for one to read the newspaper at the table and poor lighting for shaving in the bathroom. Also just a point -the body lotion container in the otherwise beautifully appointed bathroom was empty. "

The one area that let this hotel down were the rooms were too hot at night, and could not control the a/c in the room to make it comfortable, at one point i was ready to sleep in the car. "We knew the hotel was an older building having stayed before a few years ago but the location right on the seafront is almost unbeatable. Our room was a decent size but looked a bit tatty around the edges, the TV was useless and the cleanliness was ok, but not great. Most importantly the bed was comfortable, the pillows were decent and we slept well. Would we stay here again? For the right price probably yes, as you're only a 5 minute walk from the nicest parts of the city."

"The hotel was conveniently located for the town centre. Excellent shops, bars & restaurants. The hotel is over four levels & unfortunately the lift was broken during our visit. Being on the top floor this was quite a challenge especially with luggage. Having said that it didn't ruin our stay. The staff were lovely & we would thoroughly recommend a visit."
