"The Carlton was modern with nice rooms and pretty grounds. Staff was great, scheduled transportation early in the morning to the airport. Surrounding area was questionable, lots of graffiti and we felt a little unsafe on a couple of our walks. But, the hotel has a restaurant and bar onsite."

"Chosen for proximity to Bologna Central station. Sometimes hotels in these areas aren't the best this was pleasantly positive. Quiet, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. The included breakfast was more substantial than I expected, a nice added value. Recommend!"

The shuttle is great but it would be nice if they had an earlier shuttle is by the time you got there at 4:00 when the airport opens the lines are incredibly long. Other than that excellent and we would stay again."

"My wife and I had a great one week stay. The only complaint I have is that I ordered the Birthday cake in the room. This surprise was for my wife, whose birthday is on the 14th and the cake was in the room upon our arrival on the 11th. But, hey...it's cake! Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful even though my wife and I don't speak Italian. I would proudly recommend this establishment to all!"
