"Old beatiful hotel in urgent need of a rescue. Hotel tried to down grade the 2nd room i paid for. From a Delux Double room to a Studio.Lucky i saw the attempt when booking in? Disapointing a Hotel would do this and when the client sees it,blames the computer. Aircon in Room 227 did not work and was given a 2 bar heater that only made the slightest difference since the temperature dropped below 10 degrees celsius and there's snow on the mountains. Hot water in both rooms was just above room...

"Beware - The lodge is not serving its inclusive breakfast and doesn't compensate for its absence. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "

"We booked the manor. Without informing us they placed us in a garden room. When we noticed this they informed us that the room in the manor was claimed by the owner. At the end they solved it well they gave us a house. In general Diemersfontein is outdated. Staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is good. "

"Upon arrival we realized this is not a farm but a little small holding. All units less than 15 feet from each other. A Large Barn is also right opposite the cottages where workers are staying. Drawers in kitchen not in good condition, small stove in a terrible condition. Dead ants in the cupboard. "We looooooved our stay at the Southern Belle, Bergsicht Cottage. By far the most private & secluded of all the cottages. We enjoyed the hot tub & the private deck, surrounded by only the sounds of nature. The fairy lights above the pool were very romantic. The cottage had everything we needed to relax & unwind. No TV which was fantastic - you come here to rest & unplug. We'll be back!"
