"We stayed here 30 years ago and it was great to be back in beautiful Paarl. New owners are very friendly and so helpful... their little doggie snowy so sweet. Its a listed building and having breakfast in the old part of the house is so cool. That is a true South African breakfast. Delicious. Never tasted a eggs bennie that good."

For Europeans not used to loadshedding, bring mosquito repellent to protect yourself from their arrival when the fan stops! This will not stop me from coming back each time I will visit Paarl. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "
