"I stayed at the Laguna as it's my go to hotel when in Poole/Bournemouth. The hotel is clean but not the cleanest, staff are friendly happy and helpful. The hotel is located close to Bournemouth centre, an easy 10 minutes stroll through the pleasure gardens will get you to town centre bars restaurant, shops etc and the beach is just a few minutes further walking. Free parking at the hotel is a big plus and on cloudy or rainy days the hotels own indoor pool is a massive bonus if you have children...

The hotel opened in 1931 and dedicates a lot of wall space to Enid Blyton and Noddy. So be prepared for some very retro decoration. All of which adds to the hotel's character. Over hearing other guests say it's listed, this explains a lot about the lack of upkeep and real maintenance. All staff were friendly ans helpful. Dinner was ok,...
