"I stayed one night at the hotel in Padua, looking back, I think I should have booked two or three, so that I could get a better experience of the Veneto. Parts of the hotel seemed like an escape room, because my bedroom was located towards the rear. I was told that I had to take two elevators to get to my room, as it was in the back of the hotel. Part of it was under refurbishment, so I had to take one elevator up, and go to the other side of the hotel (4 minutes walk through two hallways)...

"Fantastic hotel in an amazing area! Late afternoon I walked up the hill to the castle and walked by peacocks….yep…peacocks!, vineyards, olive trees and horses. The hotel staff were truly wonderful- everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaraunts was delicious. All of the food is locally sourced and our wine was from a vineyard 5 minutes away. Sad we only had a 1 day stay on our way to Venice. On my list to return to this area and would 100% stay here again."

However if you are traveling as a tourist this is not a place to stay due to that you will have to either taxi or learn public transportation to get anywhere and to the center of Padova. Venice is not near as it is a 45 minute taxi drive and about an hour with bus and train but you will definitely have an experience learning public transportation. Also food and other venues do not open till after 5pm however there is a mall walking distance with restaurants...
