"Stayed 1night for a business trip, have stayed several times so knew what to expect..opted for a deluxe room but didnt see any difference from a standard room..the room was very small but perfectly formed, had an excellent nights sleep. Lady on reception at check in was lovely despite being very busy, and helped me out with no fuss when i locked myself out of my room. Will stay again next time im in Newbury. "

"Comfortable stay is a period property in beautiful grounds. Only 2 downsides to spoil the perfection - fire alarm fault at 2300 on 1st night and a tiny kipper fillet at breakfast in the morning otherwise faultless."

"Great stay, bathroom was cosy, toilet to close to radiator which was hot! Difficult to reach toilet roll holder which was tucked behind the toilet and hot radiator otherwise a lovely quiet room and good stay"

"The old house hotel was delightful. Good size dining room with lots of period features. The room was a good size, well appointed and freshly painted. The hall had new carpet. However the accommodation wing had hints of 1970s with roof tiled halls , diy tiled bathroom ( dangerously sharp edges), dated furniture and an uncomfortable bed with people shaped hollows. Excellent service and a fine dining experience was a highlight. "
