"I stopped here for two nights when in Trincomalee. The hotel is within walking distance to the bus station and also a local beach with very few tourists and small market areas, though it is around 6km away from the more lively Uppaveli beach. The basic triple room that I was initially booked in wasn’t very good at all, with stained bedsheets and a dirty bathroom. "We had a wonderful stay during low season at Jey’s Place. Both Jey and Anthony were so kind and accommodating, the rooms are spotless and the garden luscious. Morning coffee and evening drink on the patio outside our room overlooking the garden was a real treat. Would recommend this place and definitely come back ourselves! "

The nice lady who was at the hotel (we were unable to speak to her in the local language) did not let us through the gate then called someone who told me that the hotel was under refurbishment hence shut.
