Everything worked well, kitchen had all utensils and pans, the room was quiet, the balcony (and balcony windows) made it feel bright and spacious. Close to city center. Staff were friendly. There is an on-site laundry (although it is a bit expensive: 7 euros for a wash), reception area nothing special if you want to lounge in a hotel lobby, but these very minor drawbacks. "We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). The dryer did not work so back to hotel with damp washing. Immediately hotel stepped...

"I think the hotel had been closed for a few weeks and we got there at the exact day and time they were re opening so had to call to get someone to let us in but everything fine after that. There is an elevator. The room had everything , including a mini fridge."

"The location is in a small village in the mountains and driving in and out is not easy. The property itself is a bit dated but is very charming. The staff and service were excellent. Note that the price does not include breakfast. We stayed on the third floor and internet was unavailable le in the room - we had to go down to the lobby for internet connection. Breakfast and the restaurant were great."
