"The hotel is obviously old and in desperate need for renovation. When I checked into my room it was clean, bed comfortable but the heater had a life of its own. I called reception and a girl came up to the room and managed to get it working. She was lovely and it wasn't a problem which made all the difference. However when I got back to the room the heater had gone off again and I couldn't get it to work again but I was tired so went to bed."

"Love Aviemore so booked the Spey valley lodges. The lodges are starting to look quite run down, especially the outside with peeling paint. The inside is a little dated but was clean enough. One of the single beds had no bottom sheet on it and a dead spider lying between blanket.Obviously this bed was not made up fresh. "Stayed here for 3 nights just me and my dog. Check in was fast and easy then didnt really see any staff fpr the rest of the trip. Was nice just left to myself.
