The only downside was Dubrovnik's prices in general - rather than the specific hotel prices. Eating out is very expensive, and that includes drinks at the hotel restaurant and mini-bar in the reception. Extortionate prices for what's on offer - but you pay for convenience. "Very close to the beach! The morning staff/afternoon were very kind and helpful. The room was not the same as advertised, but our room was very clean and had a good ac. Not in the main building, so no elevator (was traveling with my senior mom, not ideal but we made it work). Staff carried our luggage when we checked in. Close to the bus stop to the old city (number 4). Fine dining options were in walking distance as well as a convenience store. "

"Great location only steps away from the Jesuit steps (Game of Thrones' 'Walk of Shame'), and easy access to everything. Note that this is not staffed most of the time; on arrival there was no one there to let me in and no one responded to the various doorbells. I only got in because by luck another couple was entering and let me inside. "Checking in" was picking up an envelope with your name on it - perfectly fine, but maybe not for every traveler. Rooms were clean, nice, and well done!"

"Perfect location to stay if you want to enjoy Dubrovnik. Tons of restaurants right outside, and quick walk to the beach. 10 minute taxi ride to the old town. I much rather stay at a location like Hotel Perla than in the chaos and busyness of the old town. My only critiques are the room doors and bathrooms a bit outdated, and the gym had no A/C. "

"We loved Eddie, warm welcome, super friendly and personable. Helpful with where to go and what to avoid in the city. Airport shuttle was perfect, waiting for us at arrivals with a sign and dropped us right outside of the guest house. Very centrally located, so when you stay in the summer you can outfit change or shower quit because it’s bananas hot and sweaty! Might even get a welcome drink with Eddie if you’re lucky :) Highly recommend!"

"This hotel is in a perfect location in Old Town! The air conditioned room was a great reprieve from the summer heat. It is owned by the adjacent restaurant which is very good, and you get a 20% discount on meals for staying at the hotel. Just make sure you leave your hotel key on the table so the staff know. Older hotel room and interior (which you’d of course expect given the city’s long history) and no daily room service unless requested for a charge, but it was clean and comfortable for a 4...
