"Hotel is situated in lovely grounds and looks very impressive on the drive up. Room felt like it could do with a bit of updating but was clean enough and comfortable. Bar area and restaurant were also excellent with friendly staff. Wouls stay again"

We've stayed here many time and never had any issues but this time there were a couple of things. the spare pillows were unclean and had to be changed for new ones. I could feel something under the bottom sheet so moved it to find large crumbs and the final thing in the morning when I moved the curtain all the way back there was a dog treat. I thought the animal friendly rooms were meant to be cleaned better than normal rooms but...
