"While the place is very cute, there were many odd things about it. First and foremost, there is NO AC in the room. Room description also advertised a bathrobe and desk and those were not provided either. I had to sleep with two fans and one window open (the other two did not have screens). That night, I went to get a drink at the coffee bar and the common area was very dark and could not find a light switch anywhere. I was told by other guests that the back staircase outside had a broken step...

"The hotel is old and generally in poor condition. Worn carpets and floors in the public areas. A clogged sink in our room,. An exterior door that was supposed to be locked for guest safety, with a broken lock, and a musty smell throughout. "

"The local contact person was very nice, we had a little hiccup at check-in which they resolved immediately. The place was clean, well-stocked and welcoming. Since the weather wasn't great while we were there, it was nice having a garage to park in. We stayed for a weekend to visit Jim Thorpe and the drive from there to Jim Thorpe was only 16 minutes.
